This bag was made with premium features such as a reinforced strap, sewn in fabric liner, and snap buttons to secure the top. Including these extra elements takes much more time for me, but greatly elevates the value of the product. Without reinforced straps or a sewn in liner, many crochet bags stretch out and wear out over time. Because the liner ends up holding more of the weight than the yarn, it keeps both the bag and the strap from stretching out.

How to hand wash

For the most part, these should be safe to machine wash, but that will increase the likelihood of the button snaps coming out. If you’d like to practice more caution, you can hand wash these like so: 

• Fill shoebox sized bin with warm water.
• in 1/4 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/4 teaspoon laundry detergent, and 1/4 teaspoon fabric softener.
• Wet item, swirl around in bin with your hands for a few minutes.
• Let soak 30 minutes.
• Dump out water. 
• Rinse with warm running water until no longer soapy. 
• Wring out over sink or bathtub until no longer dripping 
• Put in dryer on low settings or hang to dry in the sun or hang to dry in warm, dry place in your home.
